The course highlights key decision making for the diagnoses of concussion and serious spinal injuries. It covers both pitch-side and clinic room assessment, along with appropriate management strategies. If you still have doubts over your ability to diagnose a concussion, or manage a serious spinal injury, this is the course for you. The head and spinal injury course will be carried out over two modules, with head injuries mostly relating to concussion diagnosis and management. Spinal injuries will cover key anatomy of the spine, fractures and injuries involving the neurological system. It will highlight assessment procedures to be carried out both pitch-side and in clinic, alongside appropriate management strategies for various conditions.

The course highlights common injuries to the ankle and knee sustained within a school sporting environment. Through learning key anatomical structures and how patients present, you will be able to safely manage injuries from fractures to ligament sprains. The lower limb course will be carried out over 2 modules, the ankle and knee. It will cover the main anatomy and procedures for effective assessment of presenting injuries to the lower limb. Alongside this, it will highlight key management decision for injuries such as fractures, ACL and meniscal injuries.

The course highlights common injuries to the shoulder, elbow and hand sustained within a school sporting environment. Through learning key anatomical structures and how patients present, you will be able to safely manage injuries from fractures to dislocations. The upper limb course will be carried out over 3 modules including the shoulder, elbow and hand. It will cover the main anatomy and procedures for effective assessment of presenting injuries to the upper limb. Alongside this, it will highlighting key findings which may suggest more serious injuries such as neck or neurological injuries which may also be present.
