The head and spinal injury course is carried out over two modules. Head injuries will cover concussion diagnosis and management, and spinal injuries will cover when to suspect a potential neck fracture, and how to carry out pitch-side management until medical assistance arrives.
Through completion of the course staff will be able to recognize and manage players who have sustained a concussion, potential neck fracture or a simple muscle strain.
